What you get, what it costs, how to leave, and what Soulbound is not. Last updated 24 July 2026.

Who you are dealing with

Soulbound is operated by Lilja Þorsteinsdóttir in Iceland.

Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.

What Soulbound is, and what it is not

Soulbound is a personality test and a set of self-reflection tools. It is written to be useful and it is written to be honest, but it is not a clinical or diagnostic instrument. It does not diagnose anything, it is not therapy, and it is not medical, legal or financial advice.

If you are struggling with your mental health, please speak to a real human professional. A test on the internet is not a substitute for care. In Iceland you can reach the helpline 1717 at any hour, or call 112 in an emergency.

Several of the tools are written by an AI model in response to what you type. That means the output can be wrong, can miss the point, and should be read as a prompt for your own thinking rather than as a statement of fact about you. You are the one who decides what to do with it.

Your account

You need to be at least 16 to make an account. You sign in with a code sent to your email, so keep access to that inbox. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Please do not use Soulbound to break the law, to harass anyone, to try to break into other people's data, or to hammer the service with automated traffic. We can suspend an account that does. If we suspend a paid account for something other than a breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of it.

What is free

The test, your full type reading, your daily routine, journalling, and a taste of every AI tool are free, and are intended to stay free.

What costs money

  • Full Unlock — a one-time payment of $29 USD. It opens the full 30-day Shadow Work programme and unlimited Family Map readings, and it does not expire.
  • Soulbound+ — $8.99 USD per month or $59 USD per year. It opens unlimited use of the tools that cost us money every time they run: Coach, Decode, Mirror Letter, Pattern and "I'm triggered".

Prices are in US dollars and shown before tax where tax applies. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. We can change prices, but a change never applies to a Full Unlock you already own, and for a subscription we will tell you before it takes effect so you can cancel first.

Cancelling a subscription

You can cancel Soulbound+ at any time from your space, under Settings, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Cancelling stops the next payment. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not pro-rate a part-used month.

Refunds and your right to withdraw

If you live in the EEA, including Iceland, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase made online without giving a reason.

Because Soulbound is digital content delivered immediately, that right works like this:

  • At checkout you ask us to give you access straight away, and you acknowledge that doing so ends your 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery has begun. That is the rule in Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive.
  • Even so, we would rather have a happy person than your money. If you are inside 14 days and you are not satisfied, write to lily@soulbound.love and we will refund you. No form, no argument. This is a promise we make on top of the law, not a restatement of it.
  • If something we sold you does not work as described, you are entitled to a remedy under consumer law regardless of the above, and the 14 days do not limit that.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, usually within a few working days once Stripe has processed them.

What you own and what we own

What you write is yours. Your journal entries, your messages to the Coach, and everything you type into the tools belong to you, and you can download or delete them at any time from Settings.

The test itself, the 16 types and their names, the readings, the sigils, the text and the design are ours. You are welcome to screenshot your own result and share it anywhere you like. Please do not copy the test or the type material to build something else with it.

By putting text into a tool, you give us permission to send it to our AI provider and store the result, purely so we can give you the reading you asked for.

Availability

Soulbound is run by one person. We try to keep it up, but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and features can change or be withdrawn. If we withdraw something you paid a one-time price for, we will refund a fair share of it.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law, and nothing here takes away the rights you have as a consumer under Icelandic or EEA law.

Ending things

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which erases your content. We can close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why.

Law and disputes

Icelandic law applies, and the courts of Iceland have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere in the EEA, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring a claim there. You can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will say so at the top of this page and email account holders before it takes effect.
